Phototonic Stimulation

What is it?

A photonic stimulator, also known as Near Infrared (NIR) Therapy, uses an array of LED lights to trigger a biological response. Infrared light of this wavelength penetrates and absorbs deep into tissue through clothing, muscle and even bone allowing it to be effective on joints and even the brain.

It is administered through a handheld device that is held an inch or so from the body, typically moving slowly over the treatment area for increasing lengths of time.

How does it work?

Photonic stimulation activates healing biochemistry through the production of endorphins, increases mitochondrial activity and capillary blood flow, blocking pain-transmitting chemicals and stimulating cellular regeneration. Scientific studies have shown that this technology can effectively treat muscle and joint pain. It appears to have a modulating effect on the sympathetic nervous system, reducing inflammation and promoting faster recovery. It is also incredibly helpful in preparing the body for neurofeedback.

DavaRay Nanobeam 940

The DavaRay NanoBeam 940 is quite possibly the most intense infrared emitting device in its class on the market, and has received FDA approval for use by licensed healthcare professionals. It emits a powerful (1300 mW) beam of infrared light at a wavelength centered around 940 nm.

The DavaRay NanoBeam 940 is practically designed with a professional look and feel, and comes packaged in a sturdy aluminum finish case with foam insert. This unit carries a 3-year warranty.
